Beach to Beacon weekend brings a big Dirigo blue wave.

Dirigo turned out in force at Beach to Beacon 2025 and stacked top Maine, masters, senior, and age-group results. Clíodhna O'Malley, Bethanie Brown, and Karley Piers went 2nd, 3rd, and 5th among Maine women; Justin Freeman was 3rd overall master; and Kristin Barry and Christine Hein were 1st and 3rd among seniors, with strong runs throughout the roster.

Dirigo packed Beach to Beacon on a clear Maine summer day, with longtime members and new teammates all over the course and finish area.

At the front of the Maine women’s race, Clíodhna O’Malley, Bethanie Brown, and Karley Piers went 2nd, 3rd, and 5th. Justin Freeman was 3rd overall master, and Kristin Barry and Christine Hein were 1st and 3rd among seniors.

Nick Denari led a strong Dirigo men’s group and was recognized in race-weekend coverage, while Laurel Manville continued a breakout first season in blue. Harrison Osborne was the top Dirigo male finisher on the day.

The team recap also highlighted a deep set of performances from Taylor Bickford, Cait Bourgault, Crow Norlander, Polly Kenniston, James Whelan, Marah Borgman, Michelle Lilienthal, Heather Gallant, and Eric Sofen.

One club announcement from the weekend: Nick Denari recently stepped into the Head Coach role for Cheverus indoor and outdoor track while continuing as cross-country head coach.
